What speaks to your heart? Find a local group that fills a need in the communty and offer to donate some of your time. Each person can make a difference in the lives of others with just a small amout of time and effort.
The Carswell Team actively supports the following local organizations by volunteering and financial support:
YMCA of Catawba Valley: Paul Carswell is on the Board of Managers and Annual Campaign Fundraising Chair.
NETworX (part of CCM): The goal of NETworX Catawba is to accompany individuals and families as they move toward self-reliance, social well-being, and economic stability. Following the model of NETworX USA, NETworX Catawba is a discipleship of equals. By eating, working and being together, we build bridges over societal barriers like class, race, sex, gender, and age. We advocate for each other and for our respective communities, and in doing so, work to bring Catawba County a little closer together, one person at a time. Paul Carswell volunteers as a Lab Partner and Ally.
PORCH: People Offering Relief From Community Hunger is a Catawba county non-profit food assistance program. PORCH was designed to assist families in need with children who are not currently being adequately served by existing organizations. Meredith Carswell coordinates food collection for her neighborhood and volunteers at the PORCH site to sort and bag canned goods for distribution.
Humane Society of Catawba County: The Carswell Team donates funds to sponsor animals through HSCC and Meredith Carswell is a volunteer at the Hickory site.
Partners For Cats: The Carswell Team volunteers with Partners For Cats to Trap/Spay/Neuter/Vaccinate feral cat colonies and Meredith Carswell serves on the Board for Partners for Cats. The cats Meredith personally rescues can be found on her Fur Babies page on Facebook. They are also listed on Adopt A Pet:

The Carswell Team and RE/MAX also support Children’s Miricle Network with funds donated at the close of each real estate sale and additional donations each year.
How CMN Hospitals help 10 Million+ Children Yearly
10 Million+ Children enter Levine Children’s Hospital and other similar hospitals across North America each year. Children’s hospitals rely on donations and community support to offer these children the best possible care. Health Insurance and Medicaid do not fully cover the cost of the care these children require. Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals have helped fill funding gaps by raising in excess of $7 billion since 1983. A large portion of this funding is $1.00 at a time through Miracle Balloon icon campaigns. Children’s Miracle Network has many wonderful fundraising partners and programs that support the nonprofit’s mission to save the lives of as many children as possible and make thier lives better each day.
