Meredith Carswell
I began my real estate career in 2009 right after the market crash of 2008. I wanted to become a Realtor for years prior and I was not going to let the failing housing market of 2008 stop me. I got up every day in 2009 and went to the office even though there was not much going on in real estate sales at that time. I was determined to learn this business and make it my career. In late 2009 and early 2010 my business began to grow and Paul Carswell joined me as a licensed Realtor. Over the years we have expanded into The Carswell Team consisting of 4 licensed real estate professionals.
My professional background started with retail management at Lee ‘n Ann’s children’s clothing store and Lee ‘n Ann’s Stride Rite shoe store. The long hours of retail prepared me for the many hours required for a very successful real estate career.
Real estate sales takes a lot of time and energy and I love it. Finding a passion is important and I rank real estate near the top of my list.
On a personal note I am married to Paul Carswell and we have 4 dogs and 3 cats. Animals are one of my passions and several rescues came to live with us and just never left. I rescue animals as they present themselves and thankfully most have found wonderful homes.
It is important to me to be involved in our community, support locally owned businesses and help people understand why they would want to live in this part of North Carolina. I love living in the foothills and being able to work here and into the mountains of North Carolina. We have the most beautiful state and I want everyone to know why this is the best place to work and live.
I am proud to call North Carolina home.

Paul Carswell
When my wife Meredith and I decided to pursue this jointly as a full time profession, we committed to working in a full time capacity and not as a casual profession. Over the course of the years, we have enjoyed the highs and lows of being self employed and managed to overcome adversity by having superior knowledge willing to outwork the next person.
I enjoy cooking, running and powerlifting at the local YMCA. I run the occasional ½ marathon with the aspirations of completing a marathon someday. Currently we are loyal companions to 4 dogs and are indentured servants to 3 cats. Randomly foster animals show up against my better judgement but are never turned away. Meredith wants chickens, but I am not quite there yet.

Kimberly Rogers
I started my real estate journey in 2014 as an assistant to a local home inspector. Shortly after, I joined The Carswell Team as a Listing and Communication Manager for sellers and buyers. It didn’t take long for me to decide I wanted to become a licensed agent and make this a career. I received my real estate license in 2016 and continued working with The Carswell Team.
Today I manage our team’s listings, as well as, work with our buyers and sellers throughout the closing process. I take great pleasure in helping families at such an important time. I personally understand that buying and selling a home can be time-consuming and an emotional experience. My goal is to provide great communication with a positive and seamless process for all of our clients.
Being born and raised in Hickory I have been blessed to be a part of this community my entire life. I have a keen awareness of this city I love, a city rich in culture, history and great place to raise children and retire.
I am married with two children, a step-daughter and a house full of Yorkies. I am a life time member of St Stephens Lutheran Church where I taught Sunday School for over ten years. When I’m not working, I enjoy working out, reading, vacationing at the beach and most importantly, hanging out with my family.
